In May of 2009, I graduated with a Master of Science from Indiana University's School of Informatics, specializing in Music Informatics and Instructional Design, where I was a Graduate Research Assistant and Associate Instructor. I studied with professors Donald Byrd and Chris Raphael, and taught various undergraduate courses in Informatics.

Currently, I work as a math tutor in the Academic Support Center at Ivy Tech community college in Bloomington. I will be moving to Gainesville, Florida in August of 2009 and am currently investigating employment opportunities there.

On May 1, 2009, I presented my Masters Capstone research on the topic of Designing Undergraduate Instruction in Music Informatics. You can download my research paper and other related materials here.

In the 2007-2008 academic year, I undertook a research project, called SortMyTunes, a hybrid music classification system. You can also download the PowerPoint presentation explaining my concept.

In my spare time, I enjoy juggling, playing dancing video games such as Dance Dance Revolution and racing triathlons as a member of Bloomington Triathlon United, the triathlon club in Bloomington, IN. I will be competing at Ironman Wisconsin in September of 2009.

Old News: On April 14 2007, I gave an undergraduate composition recital in partial fulfillment of my Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Illinois. Compressed MP3 versions of the pieces from this recital are available for download here.
